Starting in 1971, Denon began to produce high end stereo equipment from which they built a solid reputation for excellence. They had already been making cassette tapes since 1964, so they were well equipped to make a fine quality portable cassette recorder, such as this unit, around the same time period. The machine features the slider volume and tone controls that were popular in the 1970′s. Additionally, Denon included a special function called: REP.
